New York City Opera
Beverly Sills's home opera company.
Metropolitan Opera House
American's premiere opera house where Sills faced major resistance from Rudolph Bing during the early stages of her singing career. It was Schuyler Chapin who engineered her debut in 1975 in Rossini's "L'Assedio di Corinto." She later became the Chariman of the MET board.
San Francisco Opera House
Significant in Sills's career, from her 1953 debut as Elena in Boito's "Mefistofele" through her triumphs as Manon, Lucia, Elvira and Marie.
San Diego Opera House
Sills sang many operas here, including "La Traviata," "Les Contes d'Hoffmann," "La Fille du Régiment ," "Norma," "Don Pasquale," "The Merry Widow" and "La Loca."
Houston Grand Opera
This opera company was a regular favorite of Beverly Sills because of its wonderful accoustic and management.

La Scala, Milan Italy
The performance here of Rossini's "L'Assedio di Corinto" on the cover of Time Magazine as "America's Queen of Opera." She also sang Lucia there.
